Agile is not a methodology or a framework. Instead, it is a crucial approach in today’s world, easy to begin but challenging to master. I previously wrote an in-depth analysis of the Agile Manifesto, so if you have questions about it, feel free to check that out.
For now, I’d like to clarify a few key points. Let’s start by reviewing the Agile Manifesto.
The Agile Manifesto emphasizes discovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work, four core values emerged:
1. Prioritizing individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
2. Preferring working software to comprehensive documentation.
3. Focusing on customer collaboration rather than contract negotiation.
4. Embracing a response to change instead of strictly following a plan.
While the items on the right hold value, the items on the left are valued more. This mindset is crucial for truly understanding and implementing Agile principles.
